Comparing Optical and Stylus Transfers: Frequency Spectra: Commercial Cylidner

Description:
This plot shows the volume plotted against frequency for audio produced from a stylus transfer (blue) and from an optical transfer (purple). The volume of audio decreases in the stylus transfer starting at around 1000 Hz, because of the inability of a playback stylus to resolve high frequency changes in the surface. This, lost audio is preserved in the optical transfer.
