Description:

A surgical-style scalpel is essential for precise and clean cutting and trimming of repair materials, and backing removals. Disposable stainless steel blades snap into a handle that has a very flat profile, allowing a good sight line to what is being cut. A self-healing cutting mat is a thin, flat mat made of a special composite PVC vinyl material that has a built-in ability to automatically repair damage to itself, so that knife cuts into it do not form slits, which could impede or distort future cuts. When cutting materials on the mat, the benchtop will not be damaged, and the cutting tool will not be dulled as quickly.
