Bone folders and tweezers

Description:
A bone folder is used to score or fold paper, to rub down and smooth out material that has just been pasted, to manipulate repair cloth, and for many other operations. Most bone folders are made of bone, though folders made of Teflon and horn are used as well. Bone has the balance of softness and strength that’s needed for fragile or easily marred material. The tweezers used in book repair have long pincers with extremely fine points for picking up or handling very small or delicate fragments or materials. A hemostat is similar to tweezers, but with handles that can be held in place by their locking mechanism. It allows the user to securely hold onto something very small.
