Ephemera and memorabilia 电影藏品
Ephemera and memorabilia can give direct evidence of a society’s interests and tastes, economic trends, cultural influences. The Fonoroff Collection contains 5,976 pieces of ephemera and memorabilia, including ticket stubs, cigarette cards and matchboxes, greeting cards, postage stamps and first-day covers; cookie tins and trays, bobble-head dolls, mouse pads, and metal advertising plaques. Individually, these items may preserve images of stars not preserved elsewhere or lend substance to the memory of a theater once busy and now razed. Collectively, they may reveal more about the relationship between the world of cinema and the lives of its viewers.
