- "Esemplar Único." Includes text of a short story about a nighmarish ride in a hot, overcrowded, airless bus first published in the collection: Los visitantes del sábado. Artist book-style edition of a fading text mounted on reclaimed paperboard and folded to create 3 panels of text inside with a decorated 3-panel cover showing the contiguous illustration of a bus with passengers inside; additional collage elements consist of black-and-white photos, a color map of Cuba and torn strips of red paper that surround the bus. Statement of responsibility and publishing information in hand-written lettering with black felt pen. Issued in coarse-grain paper envelope illustrated with mounted photo of a crowded squadron of people in fur-lined wintercoats trudging through a snowy landcsape plus title and author statements. La guagua is the nickname for a bus in Cuba and other Caribbean countries. The bus bears the lettering: Omnibus Yumurí. Yumurí is the name of a river flowing into Matanzas Bay in the northern part of the town of Matanzas.
