Rufino del Carmen Arellanes Tamayo (August 25, 1899 – June 24, 1991) was a Mexican painter of Zapotec heritage, born in Oaxaca de Juárez, Mexico. Tamayo was active in the mid-20th century in Mexico and New York, painting figurative abstraction with surrealist influences (Wiki). His mural- Revolucion was created in 1938.

Cipriano Ricardo Flores Magón, known as Ricardo Flores Magón; September 16, 1874 – November 21, 1922), was a noted Mexican anarchist and social reform activist. Along with his brothers, Enrique and Jesús, he launched a struggle against the Porfirio Diaz's long regime. The ideology that Hermanos Magón ( espoused was that of the anarchism. He was a prolific writer and wrote in several newspapers like Regeneración and others. His followers are known as Magonistas. The ideas of Russian anarchists Bakunin and Kropotkin influenced his views.

Mexican filmmaker Emilio Fernandez' "Enamorada" was a 1946 Mexican movie that was released in the United States in 1947.The film's English-language title is "A Woman in Love.", Maria Felix portrays principal character-Beatriz. The movie is set sometime during the Mexican Revolution and details the romantic relationship between aristocratic Beatriz (Felix) and revolutionary General Reyes (Pedro Armendariz). General Reyes is out for vengeance against the aristocracy but he cannot harm Beatriz. The story of transformation highlights Beatriz's hatred turning into love for General.
